A Little Bit About Me
Salaam! I'm currently a third year medical student, aspiring to become either an OB/GYN or a family medicine doctor, but I have a passion for women's health. I love to write, especially fiction, though poetry is my favorite to read, in song and in more traditional forms. I love languages, and speak Spanish and Portuguese in addition to English. I was raised in an interfaith family with a Nigerian Christian father and a American Muslim mother, and I have spent my time in college and graduate school to learn about Islam and to become more practicing. I have come a long way alhamdulillah but I have a long way to go, but in my life insha'Allah I plan to live the Islam that my mother taught me when I was younger...Islam that is organic and fits into my life as a future professional as well as in my family life.
